Slice a small slit in each of the tomatoes and insert 1 garlic clove. Place onions in a crock pot then place tomatoes on top of onions. What you need:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoons water
  • 1/8 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup sweet rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger

Mix together garlic, soy sauce, 1/2 cup water, brown sugar, sweet rice wine and ginger in a slow cooker. Stir until ingredients are well-combined. Cover and cook for 2 hours on low. When ready, stir well. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon water with cornstarch until dissolved. Pour mixture in the slow cooker then add the sesame seeds. Stir well.   • 1 small onion, finely diced

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
